I’ve just had the pleasure of watching the latest episode of Once Upon A Time, ‘Lacey’.
When Mr Gold decides to try to help Belle regain her memories, Regina beats him to the punch. She grants Belle her memories back, but not the right ones – her cursed memories, where she’s Lacey (a drunken strumpet). Mr. Gold enlists the aid of David to help him try to jog Belle’s now cursed memories and get her to love him again. After an unsuccessful date whilst he tries to be nice, he takes it out on the Sherif of Nottingham, and Lacey discovers him doing this. She finds it entrancing, and stays to watch.
Also, it is revealed that the magic beans Anton and the dwarves have been harvesting have begun to grow and could possibly transport everybody home, Emma is torn over whether she would want to live in fairytale land or stay in our world. She asks Neal, but he remains undecided. Regina discovers the magic beans, and smiles at the thought of what she can do with them. Neals fiance also brings Hook back into town, with the intention of getting him to work for her.
Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Rumplestiltskin forces Belle to accompany him on a hunt to kill a thief, whom she had freed in the name of mercy. This theif turns out to be Robin Hood, who stole a wand so that he could heal the pregnant Marion. Belle convinces Rumple not to take the shot, and he rewards her with a library to ‘clean’.
It was a great episode, really showcasing Rumplestiltskin’s dual good-bad persona. It was fun to see Robin Hood make it into the show, and I look forward to seeing how that plays out. It’s also great to have Hook back with us, and I can’t wait to see what trouble he stirs up in the coming episodes.
Thanks for reading.
