I’ve just had the pleasure of watching the latest episode of Nikita, ‘Reunion’.
We pick up exactly where we left off last week, with Ari’s son in danger because of Amanda. She locates his school and sends men to grab him, but the bodyguard Ari hired is far too skilled and easily gets away with Stefan. Nikita and Alex track them to Geneva, but after a series of unfortunate events Stefan ends up with Amanda’s men, whilst Nikita and Amanda are captured by the bodyguard. Alex arrives in time to stop him torturing them, and he leaves to meet her to discuss a trade (even though she doesn’t have Stefan). Nikita puts a plan in motion to escape, and when a fire starts it’s Amanda that starts to get unhinged (more than usual, anyway). She reveals she’s far worse than any of the other women from Division, as she isn’t the only one with Daddy Issues.
Alex and the bodyguard team up after a conversation with Ari, and they successfully rescue Stefan, with the bodyguard taking a bullet in the process. Nikita picks the 2 up whilst Alex holds off Amanda’s men whilst waiting for the police. Stefan agrees to stay with the bodyguard, and Nikita drives them to safety. They’re on their way to pick up Alex from the police before they leave. Cut to Alex in a police car, and another one puls up behind it. The escort is shot, and Amanda gets into the car. She mocks Alex before driving off with her highest profile prisoner to date.
Meanwhile, there’s further tension at Division as Owen disobeys Michael and goes to question Ari. Things go badly so Owen knocks Ari unconscious, before Michael does the same to Owen. Owen is then locked up in a glass room (similar to Percy’s, though not quite as extreme), and Michael takes him off active duty.
It was a great episode, which furthered all of the characters centric to its’ plot – Amanda, Ari and Owen. It’ll be interesting to see how things develop now with a crazed Amanda, and how Nikita will react to Owen being locked up – he is, after all, technically no longer Division and should be allowed to leave as he pleases. I can’t wait for more.
Thanks for reading.
