While we are missing seeing our Comic-Con family in person this year, we hope that you are as excited as us about checking out the virtual versions of the things we know and love about Comic-Con including over 300 hours of panels, masquerades, and, of course, a virtual tour of the Comic-Con Museum!
With Comic-Con@Home right around the corner, we would like to ask you to join us for the @Home 2020 Charter Member Drive! Following the cancellation of Comic-Con 2020 and the Museum’s in-person activations, these next three weeks will be critical in our effort to raise funds for the 2021 opening of the Comic-Con Museum, and will further our mission to bring the magic, imagination and community of Comic-Con to life all year long.
Starting July 20, 2020 and running through August 7, 2020 we’re calling on all pop culture enthusiasts to join, upgrade, or give a Charter Membership to a friend or loved one. By signing up now, you will receive an invitation for an exclusive look at the future Comic-Con Museum during the Master Plan Reveal in September. This unique opportunity will give you an inside look at renderings of the Comic-Con Museum’s interior gallery, meeting, presentation, and classroom spaces, as well as a Q&A with Museum staff.
As a Charter Member, you will actively contribute to the opening of the Comic-Con Museum in 2021 and further our mission to foster awareness and appreciation of the educational opportunities inherent in comics and related popular culture art forms. Not only does your support help sustain the diverse community of people who create and enjoy pop culture on every level, it also directly impacts Museum programs like Pop Culture Science and capital improvements such as the Education Center. To learn more about our mission, head to the Comic-Con Museum website and we’ll see you for Comic-Con@Home!
The SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION (Comic-Con International) is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation organized for charitable purposes and dedicated to creating the general public’s awareness of and appreciation for comics and related popular art forms, including participation in and support of public presentations, conventions, exhibits, museums and other public outreach activities which celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.
