Like what feels like most of the world, I went and saw Avengers: Endgame this weekend.
I will try to keep this review spoiler-free, and post a second review with full spoilers and easter eggs.
The culmination of 21 films over 11 years, Endgame ties up a story line that has been being built since 2012’s Avengers. In typical Marvel fashion, the movie didn’t disappoint. It was a roller coaster ride for 3 hours. If you’ve liked the Marvel movies that have already come out, you need to see this one.
The one thing I will give away, is that there is not a mid- or end credit scene. There is a brief sound clip, but it’s meaning or significance is unknown at this time. I can think of a couple of things it may be, but further discussion will be left to spoiler review.
All-in-all, Avengers: Endgame did what it needed to do. Disney has done right by the MCU that was started before it’s acquisition by the Mouse; I don’t feel the same way about what’s been done with the Star Wars franchise.
