Night Shyamalan brings together the stories of two of his acclaimed original films – Unbreakable, released by Touchstone in 2000, and Split, released by Universal in 2016 – in a new and explosive suspense with comic style: Glass.
Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn of Unbreakable as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, also known by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. They are joined by James McAvoy of Split, repeating his character Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities that reside inside him, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive who survived an encounter with the Beast.
After the events of Split, Glass finds Dunn chasing the superhuman identity of Crumb known as the Beast, in a series of increasingly intense encounters, while Price’s hidden presence emerges as the figure of an orchestrator who possesses crucial secrets for both.
The cast is joined by Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard of Unbreakable, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother, as well as Golden Globe winner Sarah Paulson (from the American Horror Story series).
This captivating culmination of his international box office successes is produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum of Blumhouse Production, who also produced the two previous screenwriter and director films for Universal. They return to produce with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, with the participation of Steven Schneider and Kevin Frakes, in charge of the executive production. Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum are also executive producers.
Glass, a production of Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse, will be released by Universal Pictures in North America on January 18, 2019 and by Buena Vista International in the rest of the world.
