Split (Universal Pictures): If you’re a fan of thrillers, prepare for two of the best thrillers in 2017. Split, an intriguing suspense-filled film centered on the mysterious corners of the mind of a man who has manifested 23 personalities with one personality remaining and still submerged set to materialize and dominate all the others. This film stars James McAvoy and Latina actress Anya Taylor-Joy (Morgan and The Witch), and will be released in theaters on January 20, 2017.
Get Out (Universal Pictures): Another thriller that you won’t want to miss is Get Out and will be in theaters on February 24. The film follows a meet-the-parents weekend getaway for a young African-American and his girlfriend at her family’s estate.Within the course of a few days, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
The Great Wall (Universal Pictures): If you are feeling a like you need a little action in your life then The Great Wall will give you all the action you can handle. The film stars Matt Damon and Chilean actor Pedro Pascal from Narcos and Game of Thrones. This film, which premieres on February 17, 2017 tells the story of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world’s most iconic structure.
Un Padre No Tan Padre (Pantelion Films): And of course we all need a little comedy. After all, laughter is one of the best ways to celebrate the new year. The new comedy starring Jacqueline Bracamontes, Sergio Mayer Mori, and Benny Ibarra Un Padre No Tan Padre, will have you literally laughing out loud as Don Servando Villegas (Hector Bonilla), an 85-year-old feisty and old-fashioned Mexican patriarch gets kicked out of his retirement home for bad behavior. Don’t miss it in theaters on January 27, 2017.
Everybody Loves Somebody (Pantelion Films): If you’re feeling the love after Valentine’s Day then make it a date night (or a girl’s night out) for Valentine’s Day weekend, and catch two love-filled films. Everybody Loves Somebody (Pantelion Films), which will be in theaters on February 17 stars Karla Souza as Clara who confronts her ex-boyfriend at a family wedding after having completely disappeared from her life. Clara will have to decide between going back to the past or opening her heart to new and unexpected possibilities.
You’re Killing Me Susana (Hola Mexico Distribution): You’re Killing Me Susana, the new film with Gael García Bernal and Verónica Echegui will also be in theaters on February 17, 2017. This film follows Eligio (Gael), who wakes up one morning and realizes that his wife has suddenly abandoned him. After learning that she has enrolled in a writing program at an Iowa University, he decides to go after her and persuade her to return to him.
Despicable Me 3 (Universal Pictures): And finally, the team who brought you Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, returns to continue the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters—Margo, Edith and Agnes—and the Minions in Despicable Me 3. In theaters on June 30, 2017
