The Flash – Fallout – Blog Review

We continue the FIRESTORM story where Ronnie and Prof Stein are separated after the nuclear explosion but lives are at risk from General Eiling who is targeting them.
Barry and Caitlin manage to get to safety. We learn that the separation was successful. They all head back to S.T.A.R Labs and are greeted by Wells and Cisco. All Stein would like to do is freshen up and have a change of clothes. Stein (Victor Gaber) and Ronnie (Robbie Amell) are separated and no longer have the ability to harness nuclear energy. Now that the both of them are separated they have a difference of opinion of how their existence survived in Ronnie’s body.
Back at the explosion site Eiling’s men are investigating the scene for FIRESTORM.
Stein goes home to reunite with his wife, Clarissa.
Joe takes Barry back to his parent’s home to show him the photographic 3D image of his mum, the two speedsters and the blood on the wall. Joe tells Barry that the blood was analyzed and is his as an adult. The Flash and Reverse Flash were in the room the night of the murder. Obviously the Flash was trying to protect his mum from Reverse Flash. They go back to S.T.A.R. Labs where Wells suggests time travel but lets them know he doesn’t have enough about it.
Mason Bridge (Roger Hayworth) is investigation S.T.A.R Labs as he believes the particle accelerator was not an accident. He tempts Iris to investigate.
Barry goes to visit Stein about time travel. Stein is craving for pizza. Obviously he and Ronnie share the same cravings. Stein is over excited to discuss his theory on time travel. Barry believes if he did go back in time his destiny was to fail and not save his mum.
Caitlin and Ronnie are catching up with each out at Jitters over pizza. Ronnie wants to leave town with Caitlin and start a fresh life. He doesn’t want her to hunt meta-humans. All of sudden Jitters come under attack from the military. They have found Ronnie. Meanwhile, Stein can feel the effects of Ronnie that his heart is racing and Ronnie is in trouble. Barry rushes off to save Ronnie by taking down Eiling’s men, but Eiling has a surprise for the Flash micro fragments attached to kinetic energy. Caitlin arrives in the van and rescues them both. Eiling says they are “at war”.
Back at S.T.A.R Labs they are pulling out the fragments from Barry’s body. Stein walks in and says that Ronnie and he are not as distinctive as they would have hoped when they separated. Their brains are still in sync with each other. Barry takes Caitlin and Ronnie home to stay at his place. Iris comes over for dinner but his suspicious of who Ronnie is.
Wells goes to visit Eiling letting him know he doesn’t know how FIRESTORM works. Eiling tells Wells that he knows who the Flash is. Eiling wants Wells to bring him FIRESTORM.
Barry is thinking of his mum. Joe tells Barry that he is still his guardian and has now brought a new burden on to him with the new evidence. Barry is curious how Joe found out the blood was his in which he told him that Cisco had everyone at S.T.A.R Labs tested. Barry believes that Wells had nothing to do with his mum’s murder.
Wells and Stein are having a scotch back at the Lab. Wells drugged his drink and is handing him over to Eiling for the secret of FIRESTORM. Ronnie meanwhile can feel the effects and is dizzy.
Mason Bridge asks Iris if she knows Caitlin after learning about the incident at Jitters and if it was a cover up by the military. Iris is now even more curious and starts investigating into FIRESTORM.
The only way that the Flash Team can find Stein is using Ronnie’s brainwaves as the two are connected. Eiling wants FIRESTORM as a weapon. Stein is tortured and Ronnie feels his pain. Ronnie cuts into his arm with a message “where” to Stein. Stein replies with Morse code of his location at Facility 27. Cisco gives Ronnie the quantum splicer as it may help when they want to separate. So Barry and Ronnie speed off to rescue Stein. Ronnie can feel Stein’s connection growing stronger. The FIRESTORM matrix wants the both of them to merge again. Flash pulls Stein out but the military intercept them. To survive they must merge and accept each other and work together when merged as FIRESTORM to fight off the military. Eiling takes down FIRESTORM with an ion grenade and goes to terminate them both when Flash knocks Eiling out.
Back at S.T.A.R Labs they try to once more separate Stein and Ronnie. Luckily they separate. Ronnie and Stein leave Central City so they can learn more about their situation.
Caitlin and Cisco have coffee at Jitters to discuss the events. Caitlin is ok with Ronnie leaving and knows she has her life ahead of her. Iris bumps into the two of them and is now suspicious of the burning man. She is going to help Mason Bridge finding the man.
Barry takes Joe back to his parent’s house. He believes that next time he travels back in time he will have the advantage and will not fail his mum and change the past.
We end tonight with the Reverse Flash kidnapping Eiling and reveal himself as Well. He has taken him down to the sewers where Grodd carries him off. Wells will protect his own.
