The newest episode of Switched at Birth begins with a fellow student introducing herself to Emmett while Regina and the Kennishes celebrate John’s 50th birthday. Toby apologizes to Daphne, though she didn’t deserve it–for giving her the cold shoulder. Bay still can’t be in the same room as Daphne, because all she can think about is what a mistake it was for her to take the blame. A prankster sets off a stink bomb in the freshman dorm. When Daphne confronts him and threatens him he challenges them to a dorm triathlon to which they end up winning. She finds out Iris has been feeling left out, because she is the only hearing kid among them. You would think Daphne wouldn’t exclude her seeing how she felt alone when she first moved to Mission Hills. One of Bay’s paintings makes it to the final round of the Kansas City Artist Showcase, but being a felon she has to lie to ace her interview with a representative. Everything is going great and she aces her interview until her house arrest anklet goes off because of a low battery. Back at college Emmett’s new friend Skye got him a gig working with a film crew as a grip operator, but once they find out he’s deaf he’s moved to craft services. While they’re filming a scene, Emmett opens a bag of chips which ruins the audio. John was thinking of going to college, but then he saw how good Travis was at baseball and decided to become his coach. Regina and Eric grow closer. After Taylor being a jerk, Emmett and Skye decide to start their own film crew. They begin to drink and we all know what happened last time Emmett got drunk. He cheated on Bay with Simone! Skye leans in to kiss him and Emmett quickly retracts and tells her he has a girlfriend. To everyone’s surprise Skye also has a boyfriend! Regina thought she was ready to give away Angelo’s things, but in the end she is not quite over his death. Next week we get a visit from Emmett.
