I’ve just enjoyed the latest episode of Once Upon A Time, ‘Into The Deep’.
The episode starts with Cora finding Hook when he gets down the beanstalk, and she decides to leave him in fairyland as a punishment. Emma et al come up with a plan to use Aurora to talk to Henry to get help from the one person who can defeat Cora – Rumplestiltskin. They do this, with Regina and Rumple looking after Henry along with David. Aurora is woken when the group are attacked, and eventually Aurora is taken captive by Cora to trade for the compass. David decides that he will go to the netherworld next under the sleeping curse, and Regina creates it whilst Henry watches (the 2 have a heart-to-heart that is really quite touching). Mulan creates sleeping powder so Snow can get back to netherworld, and whilst there she sees David. He tells her about the squid ink that will defeat Cora, but the pair cannot kiss because of where they are, so David can’t be woken.
Aurora is set free by Hook as a gesture to Emma, and she gets back just in time to stop Snow killing Mulan for running off with the compass. Regina reassures Henry that David is ok, but Gold confirms to her silently that he isn’t. Meanwhile, Cora finds Hook and is about to kill him when he gives her a surprise – Aurora’s heart (I know! He can take hearts too!). Cora uses it to manipulate Emma, Snow and Mulan, and to find out exactly where they’re going – Rumplestiltskin’s prison.
It was a surprisingly good episode this week, mainly because of Hook’s general awesomeness (yes, it is a word now) and Rumplestiltskin being his usual sarcastic self. I can’t wait to see what happens next week, and to see who’s side Hook is really on, as well as hopefully find some more answers to other questions.
